Yesterday was our little get-together to get all inky.

We made some cards with serviettes and the girls made their notebooks.  Unfortunately I didn't get many photos but I did manage to get 2 notebooks photographed and here they are:

 

 

We had a great day and look forward to the next time we can get together!

While checking out my favourite blogs this morning, I came across this post by Jill.

This is what I found in the backyard yesterday on a cold Melbourne afternoon

 

The boys had been down at the park with Pa running around and came back all hot.  Jack & Adam are staying the week with their grandparents while their cousin Michael is down from Queensland.

# 41

What is it with titles of blogs??
I just can't come up with anything, so from now on it's just going to be a number.
I can't put myself through the stress of blog titles anymore *LOL*.

So in this post (number 41) I have some art to share.

Some friends and I get together whenever we can and we have a theme or something to learn so we're getting together this Saturday.  We're doing napkins/serviettes and we're also going to make this little beauty:

 

 

 

I made this little note book from the Collections assorted chipboard shapes.  There's 2 of each shape in the bag and I've used the rectangles for the back and front covers along with a heart on the front cover.

I've had lots of trouble as my "muse" went on extended vacation.  I heard that cleaning up your supplies can sometimes bring the muse back pronto.

Last night I decided that as I'm not a scrapbooker I don't need to keep my paper in 12x12 sheets and that I'd cut them in half.  Nothing like the therapy of cutting paper!

 

I could do this as a full time job!

I thought it would be easier to store these and whilst I was dreaming away and thinking of ways to store my paper, I thought the best idea would be to pop them into those A4 plastic sleeves .. I'll make a really nice cover and backboard and they'll look fantastic.

When I finished my pile was more than 15cm high and I certainly don't have enough plastic sleeves for this magnitude of paper nor do I have hinge rings big enough!!!

 

This is just part of the pile!

So anyway now the plan is to just take the top sheet and create!  How's that for a challenge!!

This has bought back my muse and I'm so happy to have her back.

A change is in the wind ...

I've been missing in action over the past 2 weeks as I've just left my job after 3 years and jumped into the wild unknown!

I do have another job to go to and will be starting it mid next week, so I'll have a few days up my sleeve for a bit of a catch up!

Small World of Inchies & Twinchies

I have just recently discovered Twinchies.  I've found that Inchies are just too small for me so Twinchies suit me.  They are 2 x 2 inches.

I've also been around looking at lots of places for Twinchies and have discovered this great challenge site .. The Small World of Inchies & Twinchies.

So without further ado .. here's my first ever Twinchie:

 

I have used a Designs Galore image which is the theme this month at the Design Team Blog.  I love this lady! and my Swirls are Wholly Cow rub ons.

Now this trick I found on another blog (and for the life of me can't remember where!).

I have now turned my Twinchie into an ATC!

 

What a great idea!  I really like this and can see I'm hooked!

For Mum

We waved Mum off this morning at the Airport as she returned to Brisbane after a 10 day smack to reality break with us over Easter and the school holidays.

Mum lives in a "Over 50's Community" and participates in a lot of the activities they hold.  While she was here she asked if I was able to make her a name tag.

This is what I came up with:

 

 

All of the other ladies will be jealous!!

We loved having her here and the place is just not the same now that she's gone back home!

We look forward to having her back again soon.

Happiness

Well this month I've taken the challenge up to create a new piece of art each week for The Stamping Queen.

Gillian is taking a well earned break so I'll step up to the plate!

Oh how much I love the Stampotique Stamps.

This lovely person was *screaming* to take Mr Stripes for a walk.

I used a piece of cotton as the leash.
